I’m starting a new Beth Moore Bible study this week. I’m pretty excited about it. I want to re establish my passion for Jesus…the passion that has somehow slowly dwindled away.
This is what the study is about:
Detailed study of Psalms 120–134 engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each.
Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Explores the background of each psalm and psalmist, the majority of which were written by David.
Jesus, draw nearer to me as I draw closer to you. I want to love you above all else in my life…and right now that is a struggle for me. I confess that my priority’s have not been in order. Please forgive me. Please forgive my wrong doings. Through this study I pray…I BEG that you would bring me to a place of brokenness…a play where the only longing in my heart is for you. Teach me what it truly means to be in love…with you. Restore the joy of my salvation and put a right spirit within me. Here I am. Here I am. HERE I AM.
